Judy and her husband, Gary, met in Bible College in Springfield, Missouri. They started dating in their Senior year and were married August 21, 1965. The Lord called Gary to serve on the mission field and was specifically called to Perú in 1965. Judy surrendered to missions that same year. So they began their journey and served in Perú, Venezuela and finally, Mexico.
Gary served four years in the Air Force before being approved as missionaries by the Baptist Bible Fellowship. They arrived in Perú August 24, 1974. The Lord allowed them to start one church and serve in four others during their 25 years there which terminated on August 25, 1999. They went to Venezuela to serve with Matt Sanders, their son-in-law and left for Venezuela in 2000. They started a Bible Seminary there and were in Venezuela for 9 years. God led them to work with other missionaries at the Universidad Christiana de Las Americas or better known as UCLA and with La Iglesia Bautista de Gennesaret in Monterrey, Mexico. They were there until November of 2016 when Gary got sick. After Gary went to be with the Lord, Judy joined their church in Houston where served the Lord as a volunteer secretary. Now Judy lives in Pasadena, Texas, and is involved in her local church.
